Career Highlights:

Kane has steadily become the face of Team USA while adding to his growing list of accomplishments, and he heads into his second Olympics on a much more positive note. Prior to U.S. hockey’s orientation camp in August 2009, Kane stood at a podium apologizing for a recent arrest for an altercation with a taxi cab driver in his native Buffalo. The winger put the incident behind him and scored three goals while adding two assists in six games at the Vancouver Olympics in 2010, helping Team USA to a silver medal after falling to Canada in an epic overtime thriller in the tournament final. Later that year, he won his first championship ring with the Chicago Blackhawks, scoring the winning goal in overtime in Game 6 of the Stanley Cup finals. Kane picked up more accolades in 2013, guiding the Blackhawks to another Stanley Cup title while winning the Conn Smythe Trophy, awarded to the postseason MVP. He has scored at least 21 goals in each of his six NHL seasons and recorded at least 43 assists in which the league has played a full 82-game schedule. Kane is three goals shy of matching his career-best 30 goals in 2009-10 and 23 points away from tying his high of 88 that same season while helping the Blackhawks to one of the NHL's best records. Kane’s international experience dates back to the 2006 Under-18 World Championships before competing in the 2007 World Juniors and 2008 Worlds. He’ll be looking to help the 2014 version of Team USA earn its first gold medal since the 1980 “Miracle on Ice.”
