Analysis: Kizer ran for 61 yards and looked somewhat competent, but his rookie season will be remembered for red-zone turnovers and quarterbacking an 0-16 team.
|Dec. 24, 2017 2:44 PM PT3:44 PM MT4:44 PM CT5:44 PM ET22:44 GMT6:44 3:44 PM MST5:44 PM EST4:44 PM CT2:44 UAE (+1)17:44 ETNaN: - DeShone Kizer was 18 of 36 for 182 yards and didn't throw a touchdown pass Sunday in the Cleveland Browns' 20-3 loss to the Chicago Bears. He threw two interceptions, didn't fumble and was sacked one time. Kizer added eight rushing yards on three carries.
Analysis: That's a league-leading 21 INTs on the season for Kizer, who has thrown six in the last three games and no TDs in the last two.
|Dec. 18, 2017 11:09 AM PT12:09 PM MT1:09 PM CT2:09 PM ET19:09 GMT3:09 12:09 PM MST2:09 PM EST1:09 PM CT23:09 UAE14:09 ETNaN: - Despite his poor performance last weekend, Kizer will start again in Week 16.
Analysis: Kizer isn't much of a fantasy option, and the Browns are likely just trying to see what they have for next season.
|Dec. 17, 2017 1:43 PM PT2:43 PM MT3:43 PM CT4:43 PM ET21:43 GMT5:43 2:43 PM MST4:43 PM EST3:43 PM CT1:43 UAE (+1)16:43 ETNaN: - DeShone Kizer was 20 of 37 for 146 yards and didn't throw a touchdown pass Sunday in the Cleveland Browns' 27-10 loss to the Baltimore Ravens. He threw two interceptions, fumbled once and was sacked two times. Kizer added 35 rushing yards on seven carries.
Analysis: Kizer certainly hasn't progressed as well as anyone had hoped. He's now thrown five interceptions over the past three games, and the Browns could be looking for yet another quarterback for next season.
|Dec. 10, 2017 1:28 PM PT2:28 PM MT3:28 PM CT4:28 PM ET21:28 GMT5:28 2:28 PM MST4:28 PM EST3:28 PM CT1:28 UAE (+1)16:28 ETNaN: - DeShone Kizer was 20 of 28 for 214 yards and threw three touchdown passes Sunday in the Cleveland Browns' 27-21 loss to the Green Bay Packers. He threw two interceptions, didn't fumble and was sacked two times. Kizer added seven rushing yards on two carries.
Analysis: Kizer's touchdowns passes were a career high, though he also had the two interceptions. He's totaled six touchdowns and six interceptions over the past five games.
|Dec. 3, 2017 4:05 PM PT5:05 PM MT6:05 PM CT7:05 PM ET0:05 GMT8:05 5:05 PM MST7:05 PM EST6:05 PM CT4:05 UAE (+1)19:05 ETNaN: - DeShone Kizer was 15 of 32 for 215 yards and threw one touchdown pass Sunday in the Cleveland Browns' 19-10 loss to the Los Angeles Chargers. He threw one interception, fumbled once and was sacked three times. Kizer added 46 rushing yards on five carries.
Analysis: Kizer went over 200 yards passing for the second straight week and threw a touchdown, but he also was picked for the 15th time and completed a dismal 46.9 percent of his passes. The rookie QB has completed 60 percent or better just twice in 11 games and missed Josh Gordon twice on deep throws in this one.
|Nov. 26, 2017 10:28 AM PT11:28 AM MT12:28 PM CT1:28 PM ET18:28 GMT2:28 11:28 AM MST1:28 PM EST12:28 PM CT22:28 UAE13:28 ETNaN: - Kizer left Sunday's game with a possible concussion, but he's since returned for the Browns.
Analysis: There likely isn't many fantasy team starting Kizer these days.
|Nov. 26, 2017 1:32 PM PT2:32 PM MT3:32 PM CT4:32 PM ET21:32 GMT5:32 2:32 PM MST4:32 PM EST3:32 PM CT1:32 UAE (+1)16:32 ETNaN: - Kizer was 18 of 31 for 268 yards and didn't throw a touchdown pass Sunday in the Cleveland Browns' 30-16 loss to the Cincinnati Bengals. He did not throw an interception, didn't fumble and was sacked three times. Kizer added 39 rushing yards on nine carries and scored one touchdown on the ground.
Analysis: Kizer actually didn't have a bad game, and should have had a TD pass but it was dropped.
|Nov. 19, 2017 3:03 PM PT4:03 PM MT5:03 PM CT6:03 PM ET23:03 GMT7:03 4:03 PM MST6:03 PM EST5:03 PM CT3:03 UAE (+1)18:03 ETNaN: - Kizer was 16 of 32 for 179 yards and threw one touchdown pass Sunday in the Cleveland Browns' 19-7 loss to the Jacksonville Jaguars. He threw two interceptions, fumbled twice and was sacked five times. Kizer added 22 rushing yards on five carries.
Analysis: Kizer is just too risky to start in any fantasy turnover because of the turnovers. His interception total has now reached 14. Terrible football.
|Nov. 15, 2017 11:51 AM PT12:51 PM MT1:51 PM CT2:51 PM ET19:51 GMT3:51 12:51 PM MST2:51 PM EST1:51 PM CT23:51 UAE14:51 ETNaN: - Kizer was a full participant in practice on Thursday as he continues to recover from injured ribs.
Analysis: Kizer had to leave last week's contest because of the injury, but later returned. Still, he isn't much of a fantasy option for the winless Browns.
|Nov. 12, 2017 11:39 AM PT12:39 PM MT1:39 PM CT2:39 PM ET19:39 GMT3:39 12:39 PM MST2:39 PM EST1:39 PM CT23:39 UAE14:39 ETNaN: - Kizer left Cleveland's game against Detroit because of a rib injury, but now has returned.
Analysis: Kizer was having one of his best games of the season before going down. He was 15 for 24 for 178 yards and a touchdown at that time.
|Nov. 12, 2017 1:39 PM PT2:39 PM MT3:39 PM CT4:39 PM ET21:39 GMT5:39 2:39 PM MST4:39 PM EST3:39 PM CT1:39 UAE (+1)16:39 ETNaN: - DeShone Kizer was 21 of 37 for 232 yards and threw one touchdown pass Sunday in the Cleveland Browns' 38-24 loss to the Detroit Lions. He threw one interception, didn't fumble and was sacked one time. Kizer added 57 rushing yards on seven carries and scored one touchdown on the ground.
Analysis: Kizer hurt his ribs late in the third quarter but returned in the fourth. This was likely his best game as a pro despite the Browns' usual ineptitude that led to a botched situation at the goal line to end the first half.
|Oct. 29, 2017 9:45 AM PT10:45 AM MT11:45 AM CT12:45 PM ET16:45 GMT0:45 9:45 AM MST11:45 AM EST10:45 AM CT20:45 UAE12:45 ETNaN: - DeShone Kizer was 18 of 34 for 179 yards and didn't throw a touchdown pass Sunday in the Cleveland Browns' 33-16 loss to the Minnesota Vikings. He did not throw an interception, didn't fumble and was sacked three times. Kizer added 18 rushing yards on five carries and scored one touchdown on the ground.
Analysis: This is the first time this season that Kizer did not turn the ball over.
|Oct. 25, 2017 5:41 AM PT6:41 AM MT7:41 AM CT8:41 AM ET12:41 GMT20:41 5:41 AM MST7:41 AM EST7:41 AM CT16:41 UAE8:41 ETNaN: - The rookie will start Sunday when Cleveland travels to London to play the Minnesota Vikings.
Analysis: Browns coach Hue Jackson pulled Kizer in the second half of Sunday's loss to Tennessee after the 21-year-old threw interceptions on consecutive possessions bridging the second and third quarters. Kizer has thrown a league-high 11 interceptions. Jackson benched Kizer at halftime of Cleveland's Oct. 8 game against the New York Jets and started Kevin Hogan the following week at Houston. Kizer returned to the starting lineup last week only to be yanked again.
|Oct. 22, 2017 11:14 AM PT12:14 PM MT1:14 PM CT2:14 PM ET18:14 GMT2:14 11:14 AM MST1:14 PM EST1:14 PM CT22:14 UAE14:14 ETNaN: - Kizer has been benched again after throwing interceptions on consecutive passes.
Analysis: Kizer was picked off late in the first half and on Cleveland's first possession of the third quarter - both picks by Titans safety Kevin Byard. He obviously isn't a fantasy option right now.
|Oct. 22, 2017 1:31 PM PT2:31 PM MT3:31 PM CT4:31 PM ET20:31 GMT4:31 1:31 PM MST3:31 PM EST3:31 PM CT0:31 UAE (+1)16:31 ETNaN: - DeShone Kizer was 12 of 20 for 114 yards and didn't throw a touchdown pass Sunday in the Cleveland Browns' 12-9 loss to the Tennessee Titans. He threw two interceptions, didn't fumble and was not sacked.
Analysis: Kizer was terrible once again, throwing another red-zone INT, and was replaced by Cody Kessler. Obviously, never have a Browns QB on your fantasy team.
|Oct. 18, 2017 7:20 AM PT8:20 AM MT9:20 AM CT10:20 AM ET14:20 GMT22:20 7:20 AM MST9:20 AM EST9:20 AM CT18:20 UAE10:20 ETNaN: - Kizer will be back starting for the Browns on Sunday against Tennessee.
Analysis: One bad game by Kevin Hogan was enough for Hue Jackson to give the starting job back to Kizer, who hasn't exactly been putting up fantasy-relevant numbers.
|Oct. 11, 2017 7:25 AM PT8:25 AM MT9:25 AM CT10:25 AM ET14:25 GMT22:25 7:25 AM MST9:25 AM EST9:25 AM CT18:25 UAE10:25 ETNaN: - Second-year quarterback Kevin Hogan will replace rookie DeShone Kizer as the starter against the Houston Texans on Sunday, coach Hue Jackson announced Wednesday. Hogan, 24, will make the first start of his career over Kizer, who was benched after halftime in last Sunday's 17-14 loss to the New York Jets.
Analysis: The 21-year-old Kizer, a second-round pick out of Notre Dame, went 0-5 as a starter and was last in the NFL with a 49.5 passer rating, completing 81 of 159 passes for 851 yards with three touchdowns and nine picks. The Browns' offense played better with Hogan under center in the second half against the Jets, scoring 14 points and gaining 244 total yards. With Kizer in the game, Cleveland had 175 total yards and two red-zone turnovers.
|Oct. 8, 2017 2:13 PM PT3:13 PM MT4:13 PM CT5:13 PM ET21:13 GMT5:13 2:13 PM MST4:13 PM EST4:13 PM CT1:13 UAE (+1)17:13 ETNaN: - DeShone Kizer was 8 of 17 for 87 yards and didn't throw a touchdown pass Sunday in the Cleveland Browns' 17-14 loss to the New York Jets. He threw one interception, fumbled once and was sacked one time. Kizer added 29 rushing yards on six carries.
Analysis: Kizer was benched in the second half after the Browns trailed 3-0 at the break. The QB switch was startling since coach Hue Jackson had given his unconditional support to Kizer, promising to stick with him no matter what happened this season. Jackson's conclusion to bench an ineffective Kizer for Kevin Hogan was the right move. Hogan threw two touchdown passes to pull the Browns within 17-14.
|Oct. 1, 2017 12:39 PM PT1:39 PM MT2:39 PM CT3:39 PM ET19:39 GMT3:39 12:39 PM MST2:39 PM EST2:39 PM CT23:39 UAE15:39 ETNaN: - Kizer was 16 of 34 for 118 yards and didn't throw a touchdown pass Sunday in the Cleveland Browns' 31-7 loss to the Cincinnati Bengals. He threw one interception, didn't fumble and was sacked one time. Kizer added 10 rushing yards on five carries.
Analysis: Cleveland fell to 1-19 in two seasons under coach Hue Jackson, who has been handed the league's youngest roster and is trying to break in Kizer without many weapons.
|Sep. 24, 2017 4:22 PM PT5:22 PM MT6:22 PM CT7:22 PM ET23:22 GMT7:22 4:22 PM MST6:22 PM EST6:22 PM CT3:22 UAE (+1)19:22 ETNaN: - DeShone Kizer was 22 of 47 for 242 yards and threw two touchdown passes Sunday in the Cleveland Browns' 31-28 loss to the Indianapolis Colts. He threw three interceptions, didn't fumble and was sacked one time. Kizer added 44 rushing yards on seven carries and scored one touchdown on the ground.
Analysis: Kizer was surely better than last week when he was dealing with migraines but it's hard to overlook three interceptions for the second straight week. He wasn't helped by his receivers, who had four drops in the first half alone. Kizer is only completing 52.9 percent of his passes and has three TDs with seven picks, so he's left himself plenty of room for improvement.
|Sep. 17, 2017 10:57 AM PT11:57 AM MT12:57 PM CT1:57 PM ET17:57 GMT1:57 10:57 AM MST12:57 PM EST12:57 PM CT21:57 UAE13:57 ETNaN: - Kizer left Sunday's game against Baltimore with a migraine in the second quarter.
Analysis: Coming off a solid debut against Pittsburgh last week, Kizer was 6 for 11 for 81 yards and interception. He also lost a fumble when sacked. He was replaced by Kevin Hogan, who promptly moved the Browns 83 yards in five plays for a touchdown, on a pace to David Njoku.
|Sep. 17, 2017 1:22 PM PT2:22 PM MT3:22 PM CT4:22 PM ET20:22 GMT4:22 1:22 PM MST3:22 PM EST3:22 PM CT0:22 UAE (+1)16:22 ETNaN: - DeShone Kizer was 15 of 31 for 182 yards and didn't throw a touchdown pass Sunday in the Cleveland Browns' 24-10 loss to the Baltimore Ravens. He threw three interceptions, fumbled once and was sacked two times. Kizer added 26 rushing yards on five carries.
Analysis: Kizer, who left with a migraine headache in the second quarter after four ineffective series: a three-and-out, a lost fumble, an interception and a punt. The former Notre Dame star was replaced by second-year pro Kevin Hogan, but returned in the third quarter with Baltimore up 21-10. On his second series back, Kizer moved the Browns to the Baltimore 7 before being picked off in the end zone by Lardarius Webb.
|Sep. 10, 2017 1:28 PM PT2:28 PM MT3:28 PM CT4:28 PM ET20:28 GMT4:28 1:28 PM MST3:28 PM EST3:28 PM CT0:28 UAE (+1)16:28 ETNaN: - Kizer finished 20 of 30 for 222 yards with a TD and an interception in his NFL debut, the Browns' 21-18 loss to the Steelers.
Analysis: Kizer was guilty of holding onto the ball too long and put himself at risk with a few runs, ultimately taking seven sacks and throwing a few more balls that could have been picked.
|Aug. 27, 2017 9:38 AM PT10:38 AM MT11:38 AM CT12:38 PM ET16:38 GMT0:38 9:38 AM MST11:38 AM EST11:38 AM CT20:38 UAE12:38 ETNaN: - Kizer has yet to be named the starting quarterback for the Cleveland Browns' regular-season opener on Sept. 10. But he may have taken a step closer in a 13-9 preseason victory over the Tampa Bay Buccaneers on Saturday night.
Analysis: The rookie quarterback didn't throw any touchdown passes in his first start and completed only 6 of 18 passes for 93 yards and an interception.
|Aug. 23, 2017 5:25 AM PT6:25 AM MT7:25 AM CT8:25 AM ET12:25 GMT20:25 5:25 AM MST7:25 AM EST7:25 AM CT16:25 UAE8:25 ETNaN: - The Browns seem to be giving their starting quarterback job to Kizer after previously leaning toward veteran Brock Osweiler.
Analysis: Kizer will start the team's third preseason game, Saturday against Tampa Bay, and coach Hue Jackson said the rookie "is certainly positioning himself well to earn the starting job heading into the regular season." It's the Notre Dame product's job to lose at this point, so grab him for your two-quarterback leagues.
|Aug. 22, 2017 6:49 AM PT7:49 AM MT8:49 AM CT9:49 AM ET13:49 GMT21:49 6:49 AM MST8:49 AM EST8:49 AM CT17:49 UAE9:49 ETNaN: - Kizer finished 8 of 13 for 74 yards and scored on a 1-yard sneak in the Browns' 10-6 win over the Giants on Monday.
Analysis: Kizer came into the game seemingly behind Brock Osweiler in the Browns' QB competition, but given Osweiler's underwhelming performance, this could be a race to the finish.
|Aug. 18, 2017 4:22 PM PT5:22 PM MT6:22 PM CT7:22 PM ET23:22 GMT7:22 4:22 PM MST6:22 PM EST6:22 PM CT3:22 UAE (+1)19:22 ETNaN: - Brock Osweiler will make his second straight preseason start at quarterback for the Cleveland Browns when they face the Giants on Monday night at FirstEnergy Stadium in Cleveland, but head coach Hue Jackson's main mission is getting an extended look at Kizer.
Analysis: "It doesn't mean anything for the regular season," Jackson said. "This is this game. (Osweiler) will walk out first. (His playing time) could decrease. I want to see these young guys play quite a bit. That's why I'm putting (Kizer) out there second."
|Aug. 11, 2017 10:43 AM PT11:43 AM MT12:43 PM CT1:43 PM ET17:43 GMT1:43 10:43 AM MST12:43 PM EST12:43 PM CT21:43 UAE13:43 ETNaN: - Kizer threw a 45-yard touchdown pass to Jordan Payton on fourth-and-2 with 1:52 to play Friday night to lead the Cleveland Browns past the visiting New Orleans Saints 20-14 in the preseason opener for both teams.
Analysis: Kizer completed 11 of 18 passes for 184 yards and a touchdown, while Brock Osweiler and Cody Kessler certainly didn't do much. Keep an eye on this situation.
|June 14, 2017 9:19 AM PT10:19 AM MT11:19 AM CT12:19 PM ET16:19 GMT0:19 9:19 AM MST11:19 AM EST11:19 AM CT20:19 UAE12:19 ETNaN: - Browns rookie quarterback DeShone Kizer has signed his four-year contract. The deal is projected to be worth nearly $5 million and include a $1.7 million signing bonus.
Analysis: The second-round draft pick from Notre Dame has shown progress during the team's mandatory minicamp and Kizer took snaps on Tuesday with Cleveland's starting offense. Kizer is battling veterans Cody Kessler and Brock Osweiler for the starting job. Kizer has been pleased with his development so far, but reiterated Wednesday that he has a lot to learn.
